Open Call

Over the past year, the mediation programme at the Romanian Pavilion gathered 37 young researchers and students from different countries and academic backgrounds: art history, film studies, philosophy, choreography, theatre, architecture, and design. During their time of residence in Venice, the mediators assisted the visiting audience, while documenting the exhibition and carrying on their own research on topics inherent to Adina Pintilie’s project “You Are Another Me—A Cathedral of the Body”, such as the poetics of intimacy and the politics of the body.

We are extending this invitation to the visiting audience of the exhibition. Contribute to this ongoing public research, share with us your reflections, images, texts, audio recordings, videos, which will be published on this platform.

What is at stake is to dissolve together the apparent distance between the You and the Me and to create a forum where artists, audiences, mediators are part of the same experience, where surpassing fixed ideas of spectatorship and participation becomes possible.
